I'm adding this issue to reserve some space to enter relevant
information
related to the setup of the new Glossifier tool within the CBIIT
environment.

Useful email from Bob regarding the Glossifier migration:

Subject: Re: Glossary/GP Mailers
I don't have anything ready for him. I did some of the work
(isolating the files and database tables for each application) in the
wake of Bryan's request for me to do that when we had the conference
call (last week?), but there are other things that need to be done
(modify the code so that it can talk to the database in either hosting
environment, for example; same thing for talking to Bach's web server;
and some other loose ends). Bryan (correctly)
pointed out that EBMS has priority over this task, so I can't tell you
when I'll get to it. In theory you (or someone else) could get me to
show you what needs to be done (assuming that use of time got approved)
and you (or whoever) could make the changes, but that would be a much
more expensive way to do it, because the ramp-up time would be greater
than the amount of time it would take me to actually do the work. You
can get started, though, by finding out:
how many tiers will there be?
what are the DB credentials on each tier?
will the cgi scripts on the servers be able to connect to CBIIT-Bach on port 80?
what would the host name be for that connection?
can we have the file /etc/emailers created on each tier, with the name of the tier as the contents of the file?
if not, what mechanisms can be made available for determining whether we're on the production tier?
Bob

I've started the setup on the CBIIT server (access via bastion host
ts-dev-oce)
nciws-d165-v-m
This is a CentOS system setup by Robert. The document root for this
system is
/web/glossifier/wwwroot
with web access through
http://glossifier.dev.cancer.gov/
I am currently waiting for access to Subversion and the MySql database hosted on different servers.

The instructions for the glossifier setup have been added to the
CBIIT Collaborate to ensure CBIIT technicians will have access to it for
future reference.

Waiting for testing by WCMS.

The system has been setup on the CBIIT DEV and QA servers. We're working with Robert and Wenling to fix any problems identified in the new environment.
Blair tested the glossifier on Percussion successfully.
