The audio icon for Glossary terms is missing from publish preview. We noticed this only yesterday. Could you please look into this?

I'm tempted to mark this issue as "works for me".
I do see that the icon is missing when using Firefox but when you're
running PP I'm assuming that IE is your browser.
Could you maybe try to copy the link and paste it into different
browsers and report what happens?
Also, if you could add any additional information that might help: Does this happen for all glossaries or only some; does it happen on all servers or only BACH; which glossary are you using, etc.

Yes. IE is our default browser even though we like either FF or Chrome better :-).

I did test in both FF and IE and got the same results. I tested on at least 3 computers.

This happens for all terms we tried so I am assuming it is a global issue for all glossary term documents with audio.
Here are two sample documents:
45761
44893
Meanwhile, we are able to see audio icons on Cancer.gov with the same
browsers that are not able to display icons in pub preview.

I just looked at some of the genetics dictionary terms in Pub Preview and I have a couple tidbits to add:
1. The audio icon IS displaying next to some of the genetics HP terms in PP. It seems to be displaying next to terms that are in both the HP and patient dictionary, but the icon is only displaying with the HP definition. Here are some examples:
CDR0000045693
CDR0000044868
CDR0000460228
2. The audio icon is NOT displaying in PP for terms that are present only in the genetics dictionary. Here are some examples:
CDR0000666092
CDR0000460132

Are you able to pull up the audio icon directly?

If you are, could you attach the HTML source to this issue?

I am able to see the audio icon in both FF and IE but IE won't show me the source code if I select View Source. I have attached the source code from FF.

I actually meant the source code of the Glossary file.
You're able to see the audio icon when you use its URL. This means it
is not blocked somehow. If you can open the source for the Glossary and
see this URL displayed (or send it to me and I'll check) then you're
receiving all data and should be seeing the icon. In that case I would
assume that some settings in the browser are preventing you from seeing
the icon.
But let's look at the source code first and go from there.

Interesting but again, I can't confirm this. I do see the audio icon for all of those glossary terms.

I'm attaching an image of the source William provided displayed on my
system at 6116.
I can check if there were any changes to PP on the Cancer.gov side but
it looks to me that this may be a browser display issue.
Let's brainstorm at tomorrow's meeting.

A site visit to Robin's office revealed that the "missing" icon does
appear for a fraction of a second when we hit F5 to refresh the screen
but then it disappears and leaves the space behind.
Using compatibility mode did not change the display.

After turning off compatibility mode, the icons are showing up for me. I did the same thing on Amy's computer but that didn't fix her problem. I tried to match the IE multimedia settings on her computer and mine but that didn't work on her computer either. However, the icons are showing up on her computer in FF. That is, after copying the URL from IE to FF.

As discussed at our status meeting, this appears to be a browser display rather than a CDR/Gatekeeper issue.
William has been advised to work with his computer support team to find a resolution.
William, is this still an issue at CIAT or can we close this ticket?
No. We can close it.
