There are a few citations with topics added at the lit surveillance committee decision that Robin would like removed. They were accidentally added by users:
200168
199370
200288
200244

I'd like more information about this task.
Is it desired that the four citations be deleted from the
database, or only that their association with the editorial board
"Cancer Genetics" be removed?

I'm adding Robin to the CC list for this task.
Robin,
The question in comment #2 (q.v.) is probably directed more to you than to William.

Actually, I guess it's pretty obvious that the answer to the question in comment #2 is to just remove the association with Cancer Genetics. But I'd like confirmation to be sure. There are also other boards associated with some of the articles which I assume are not to be touched. But please confirm that too.
Thanks.

Here's some additional clarification:
The problem with these citations is only that an additional summary topic was added to each citation, so it appears that responses from some group members were never returned when in fact the article was never actually mailed to that group. I didn't mean for the link to the Cancer Genetics Board to be removed. Here are the specific topics to be removed:
CMS IDs 200168, 199370, and 200288: Please remove Genetics of Breast and Ovarian cancer from the Literature Surveillance Committee Decision section (this should in turn remove it from the responses not returned section).
CMS ID 200244: Please remove Genetics of Colorectal cancer from the Literature Surveillance Committee Decision section (this should in turn remove it from the responses not returned section).
This should not affect links to the other Boards.
Let me know if you still have questions. Thanks!

We discussed this in today's status meeting.
The task is hard to do right now because I don't know enough about the system to know all of the functionality that might be affected by changing or deleting database data by hand.
Since the priority is not high, we decided to defer this in favor of the new CiteMS task #4981, documenting the system. In documenting the database I hope to learn enough to do this task safely.

We decided in today's status meeting to wait and make this correction in the new system once it is in place.

I don't think there's a way to truly "remove" the association of these articles with certain topics on the full citation history page. However, I added "no" decisions and plenty of comments, so that is adequate.
