We would like to make a few changes to the create packet page:
1. Please add the number of articles in parentheses beside each
topic.
2. Please have the packet name field seeded with the topic and the
current review cycle in parentheses. For example, "Genetics of Breast
and Ovarian Cancer (June 2014)". The field should remain editable.
3. Please add a link from the title of the article to the full citation
page. Clicking on the link should open the full citation in a new
browser tab.
Thanks.
This is ready for review on DEV. Please note that up to now we've been very careful to use the standard markup practice for field labels on forms, making sure that for checkboxes the labels are clickable. What we've just done with the article titles on this page subverts that mechanism, and changes the behavior to which users have become accustomed. It will no longer always be true that clicking on the label for an article toggles the checkbox selection state for that article. Just so you know. :-)
I've verified these changes on DEV, but I'm not sure if the current review cycle is giving us what we expected. For example, today, August 15, the field is populated with "September 2014", yet we wouldn't be sending the September mailing for a couple of weeks. Maybe we should use the current month & year as opposed to the review cycle. Victoria, does that make sense to you?
Let me know what you decide. As I recall, we carried over the concept of 'current review cycle' and its meaning from the old CiteMS system. It would be easy to use the current month instead of the current cycle. I'll wait for your decision.
We discussed this in our meeting today. Please seed the packet name with the current month and year in place of the current review cycle. Thanks.
Done. I assumed you wanted me to use the 3-letter abbreviations for the month names, but that's easy to change if I guessed wrong.
Sorry - I should have specified. Please spell out the month. Thanks!
Done.
Looks good - thanks. Verified on DEV.
Verified on QA.
Verified on prod.
