The Peutz-Jeghers module appears to have been picked up Dec 4, 2015 and published to Cancer.gov as a stand-alone summary. It should only be published as a component of other summaries.
The CDR ID of the module is 738176.
This issue is to sort out what happened and remove the stand-alone module from Cancer.gov. Once we determine what changes are needed to prevent this from happening in the future, we can add a separate ticket to do that.
Adding William.
I'm adding Bob and Alan, too.
We will definitely need to modify our Re-publish process to
prevent this problem from happening again.
I'm pretty certain our Re-publish option was implemented before we
started using summary modules. There is one option that allows us to
specify a CDR-ID to be published and the system does not check if this
CDR-ID that's specified may be a summary module. As a side node, the
same is true for our hot-fix publishing.
Another option of our re-publish allows us to publish a complete
document type: You specify 'Summary' and all publishable versions of
summary documents will be published regardless of the "module status".
There is an additional choice to either publish all
summary documents that are publishable or just those already published
(i.e. those that are in the table pub_proc_cg), ignoring brand
new summaries.
I checked Robin's Genetics summaries and there exist 3 summary modules:
743132 Lynch Syndrome and Breast Cancer Risk (Module)
This one exists in pub_proc_cg and it exists on GK but failed due to a
missing mandatory section title.
738176 Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS) (Module)
This one exists in pub_proc_cg and has been published to
Cancer.gov
766497 PTEN hamartoma tumor syndromes (including Cowden syndrome)
- Introduction (Module)
This one has never been published - as it should.
When I'm running the re-publish job for an entire document type I'm always using the option to publish the documents already on GK as opposed to processing all summaries, in which case the third of the three summaries above would have been included to be pushed to GK.
CDR743132 had first been published (incorrectly) on 2013-04-25 as part of a hot-fix (Job10800). This is the document that triggered the change to our summary publishing selection because the system tried to publish this module every day between 2013-04-25 and 2015-04-23. I'm certain we've never cleared this document from pub_proc_cg which is why it had been picked up again as part of the re-publish job on 2014-12-04 (Job13281).
CDR738176 had first been published on 2012-08-08 (Job 9969) and then
blocked the following day in order to remove it from Cancer.gov but on
2013-04-25 (Job10799) it had been published again as part of a
hot-fix.
My guess is that the module had been manually removed from GK (on
2013-08-07) because the remove from GK function that was broken
at the time but the summary hadn't been blocked again in the CDR which
would have removed it from the table pub_proc_cg. As a result,
we had these two modules hidden in the pub_proc_cg
table waiting to be released again to GK on 2015-12-04.
Makes sense, Dr. Watson?
The summary has been removed from Cancer.gov.
Thanks, Volker!
