As discussed, we'd like to have a new automated report that will identify new and revised HP & patient summaries and drug information summaries.
The report should be sent automatically via e-mail once/week to the following individuals: Kevin Broun, Kim Reyes, Diana Blais, and Margaret Beckwith. (Possibly Friday evening? I'm not sure when the media published documents report is sent, but presumably a similar schedule would work for this report.)
The report should identify new documents by the presence of a first publishable version in the past week and revised documents by a change to the user-entered date last modified within the last week.
New and revised HP summaries, patient summaries, and drug information summaries should be presented in six separate tables in this order: new HP summaries, revised HP summaries, new patient summaries, revised patient summaries, new DIS, and revised DIS.
The tables should include the following information in columns, left to right:
CDRID
Title of summary (please link the title to the summary on
Cancer.gov)
Date last modified
Date of last publishable version
There should be a heading at the top of each table with the following
information: new/revised, document type and audience (if applicable),
date range
For example:
New HP Summaries (2015-10-09 to 2015-10-15)
Revised Patient Summaries (2015-10-09 to 2015-10-15)
Adding Margaret and Volker.
We would like the English documents summarized in one report and Spanish summarized in a second report. The recipients of the English report are listed above; the Spanish report recipients are Meghan Byrne and Kevin Broun.
If possible, we'd like to add an additional column to the report for HP summaries and include a link to the changes section on Cancer.gov.
For example:
http://www.cancer.gov/types/bladder/hp/bladder-treatment-pdq#section/_4
We'd also like each of the reports sorted alphabetically by the document title.
Sample documents from Margaret showing the reports she's currently preparing.
I am wondering if the format of the report is determined. I would
probably prepare an HTML report to be submitted in an email similar to
our monthly PCIB Status report.
Also, I noticed that Margaret had linked the summary title to the
document on Cancer.gov. I would instead link the CDR-ID.
Adding Margaret's email message to me earlier to make sure I don't forget anything with the report:
Hi Volker,
I have been running the Date Last Modified report from the General Reports menu. I run it Monday morning, first for Summaries and the for Drug Information Summaries, for the previous week (Monday-Sunday). I then create separate tables for HP Summaries, Patient Summaries, Drug Information Summaries, and Spanish summaries. Then I insert hyperlinks to the Changes section of the Cancer.gov version for the HP summaries. I am attaching a copy of what I sent out last week.
For the automated report, I would like it to do essentially the same thing, with perhaps a couple of enhancements (like inserting the links to the summaries and to the Changes section for the HP table, and sorting alphabetically if possible).
I would also like the report to only identify summaries that have been made publishable. It appears that the current DLM report is picking up summaries where the last version has a DLM change, not the last publishable version (See the HP Adult Non-Hodgkin Treatment Summary on the second report attached; I sent an email about this earlier).
We can talk about this tomorrow.
Thanks,
Margaret
Hi Volker,
I have a couple of comments about the report. Kevin asked me today if we could truncate the DocTitle that shows for the summaries to just show the title of the summary, e.g. the part before the first semicolon. I said I would ask.
In response to your comment above about making the link come from the CDR ID, that is fine if it is the link to the first page of the summary on Cancer.gov. For the HP part of the report, we would ALSO like to have links from theTItle that go to the Changes to This PDQ Summary section. I believe that Kevin would like to be able to just copy and paste those into the GovDelivery template. Let me know if you have questions.
Kevin asked me today if we could truncate the DocTitle that shows for the summaries to just show the title of the summary, e.g. the part before the first semicolon.
Yes, I only included the SummaryTitle element on the report.
I am almost done with the report(s) and can send you a sample, if you'd like. Just need to do a little more testing and formatting. I am actually using a modified PCIB Status report, so the output should look familiar to you.
The program GD_ChangedDocs.py has been setup on QA. A
scheduled job has been started to run daily for now. The job will pick
up anything from a week ago until the day before today
(inclusive).
Please modify/create documents on QA for the report to pick up.
I checked the sample reports that you provided and I have a comment about the formatting. I would actually rather have titles along the lines of what I had in the sample reports that I run (see below). We don't need to give a count of the number of documents since there aren't really that many. For example:
New Health Professional Summaries
None
Revised Health Professional Summaries
Insert table with links
New Patient Summaries
None
Revised Patient Summaries
Insert table with links
I've adjusted the table headings of the report and removed the count from the display.
I have requested to have the report setup on STAGE and PROD.
I've updated the two notification groups in the CDR:
GovDelivery ES Docs Notification; Kevin B, Meghan B, Volker
GovDelivery EN Docs Notification: Kevin B, Diana B, Margaret B, Kim R, Volker
Please let me know if anybody should be added/removed from one of these lists.
The job ran successfully over the weekend and submitted the reports to the DL.
Please verify and close this ticket.
