Description

Running the CTGov "Statistics Report - Download" report appears to take too long. It takes in excess of 2mins to run the report for any period of time and then when the results are displayed we're unable to scroll to the bottom of the page. It appears as if there is a script running in the browser and it never ends. It will sometimes stop and then when you attempt to scroll, the cursor continues to spin and you're unable to do anything. It is actually taking much longer to run the report for CTRP trials compared with CTGov trials.

Is this really surprising? The report is required to display one row for every CT.gov protocol which has been dropped, and there's more than 28,000 of them, most dropped since we switched to CTRP. It takes a while to display that many rows in a table. There's no JavaScript on the page at all. It's just taking a long time before your browser gets the whole page. Perhaps your browser decides to do other things when you request such mammoth pages until it is convinced (when you try to scroll) that you really want to see it all.

No response to my comment from Wednesday, so I'm marking this ticket as Resolved.
