The table of contents is not displaying in Publish Preview.
Be sure to pick a component when creating a new ticket. That will make it more likely that the issue will be seen right away by the developer who will end up doing the work.
I'm guessing this is only a problem with IE on the PROD bastion host,
right?
I have a ticket open with the CBIIT team for several weeks now for them
to allow JavaScript to run with IE. I will have them increase the
priority now that the new WCMS release is out.
Added myself as a watcher.
I tried it in both Chrome and FF and the TOC did not display.
I've added some logs to the fire in order for CBIIT to concentrate on enabling JavaScript on PROD for IE. (WEBTEAM-4695)
Here is a list of the browsers that currently do support JS on the
different tiers:
Using my script this is the situation on all tiers:
DEV tier
IE - JS disabled
Firefox - JS OK
Chrome - JS OK
QA tier
IE - JS OK
Firefox - JS OK
Chrome - JS OK
STAGE tier
IE - JS disabled
Firefox - JS disabled
Chrome - JS disabled
PROD tier
IE - JS disabled
Firefox - JS disabled
Chrome - JS disabled
Here is a simple test that shows if JavaScript is enabled for the browser used: Copy the following link into your address bar of the browser:
:///L:/OCPL/_Cross/CDR/temp/js_test.html file
The two list items on this page will display in color if JavaScript is enabled, otherwise they will show in black.
Good news!! Javascript is now enabled and the table of contents is displaying in publish preview in the Bastion host.
You're just saying that to cheer me up. I don't believe it.
It's true! I received a message about a java plug-in being available and clicked enable and voila! This might be the first time I'm happy to be back in the Bastion 🙂
Please note that the Enlarge/Collapse for tables and images works too.
Good to know! I confirmed that on prod, too. Moving this to QA verified.
This issue can be closed because it's already in production (on the bastion host).
