Manual Changes to Implement Permissions Changes
            -----------------------------------------------

Here are the directions for updating permissions in the EBMS user and
role tables to achieve the changes requested for JIRA_OCEEBMS-93.

All of the following changes can be made only by a user with the
"Administrator" role.  These can only be made by CBIIT in the production
system.

The first step in all changes is to login and then go to
baseUrl/admin/people.  For example, use:

    QA:   http://ebms-qa.nci.nih.gov/admin/people
    Prod: http://ebms.nci.nih.gov/admin/people

Then make the following changes:


                            ADMIN ASSISTANTS
                            ----------------

Change permissions for all users with the role "Admin Assistant":

   Go to .../admin/people.

   Click the Permissions tab in the upper right.

   In the column for Admin Assistant, search for and check the Admin
   Assitant column checkbox for each of the following rows:

       "Perform Administrative Tasks"

       "Manage Citations"  

       "Access all webform results"

       "View All Events"

       "Ebms Event: Create new content"

       "Ebms Event: Edit any content"

       "Basic page: Edit any content"

   Scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click "Save
   permissions".

Remove the ICRDB Manager from the administrative assistants:

   Go to .../admin/people.

   In the box labeled "SHOW ONLY USERS WHERE":

       Select "admin assistant" in the role drop down.

       Click "Filter" (just to the right of the role drop down.)

   Determine which of the users with the "admin assistant" role
   should no longer have be checked and, if necessary, changed.

   Change them all at once as follows:

       Check the checkbox to the left of the username of each user who
       should not have a manager "icrdb manager" role.  It will do no
       harm to check usernames for users that do not currently have the
       role.

       Click in the UPDATE OPTIONS box and, under "Remove a role from
       the selected users", select "icrdb manager".

       Click the "Update" button just to the right of the update options
       selection box.



                           MEDICAL LIBRARIANS
                           ------------------

Remove the ICRDB Manager from the medical librarians:

   Follow the directions above for removing the same role from
   administrative assistants, substituting "medical librarian" for
   "admin assistant".

   No other permissions changes are required for medical librarians.


                      Change for William Osei-Poku
                      ----------------------------

William is being re-categorized from ICRDB Manager to Medical Librarian.

   Go to .../admin/people

   Navigate to William's record.  The easiest way may be to click the
   USERNAME column to sort alphabetically, then click again to sort in
   reverse alphabetical order.

   On the row for William Osei-Poku:

       Click "edit" on the right side of the page in the row for
       William.

       Check "medical librarian".

       Uncheck "icrdb manager".

       Scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click "Save".
